About Us
In 1935 John S. Blazey began a small blacksmith business in Palmyra while also running a welding shop. His clientele were mainly local farmers and in order to meet their needs he started to service and install water pumps, did general repairs and began to sell International Harvester Tractors and farm machinery.
When his son, John T. Blazey, joined the business in 1959 the community was changing. Farms were being sold and the area was becoming more residential. To meet this new shift in customer needs a new dimension had to be added to the business. Cub Cadet, a new line of lawnmowers produced by International Harvester, was the new dimension.
As time went on the number of farmers in the area diminished, and the residential area continued to grow. And as the community started to change the business also grew. With the growth of the business the family was also growing, and the third generation of Blazey Boys joined the team. Jim and Jeff stepped up to the plate and brought with them enthusiasm and excitement. The family was now ready to meet the new challenges and opportunities the road would bring. The store in Palmyra was remodeled, the showroom expanded two fold, a warehouse was erected, and recently a new outdoor lot was constructed to facilitate the growing inventory.
Today our dealership has grown by leaps and bounds to better facilitate our growing family of customers. And as our dealership has grown so has the number of lines we now have available for our customers. We carry a full line of Kubota Tractors and utility vehicles as well as a variety of Land Pride brand implements to help complete any and all jobs our customers need to accomplish. We are no longer a Cub Cadet dealer, however, we carry a wide variety of parts and will continue to service them.
Our dealership also stocks a large selection of used equipment and an extensive supply of parts to better meet our customer's needs. However, we realize that there are many dealerships and now box stores that offer these products and parts as well. So why come to us? The answer is simple, here at John S. Blazey Inc. our customers are not just another sales receipt. Here at John S. Blazey Inc. our customers are our family and our service backs that up. Whether it is a question answered or service after the sale we strive to go the extra mile for our customers.
Since 1935, John S. Blazey, Inc. has provided the area with many different services. In the beginning, the company sold farm machinery, pumps and did welding. As the area changed, the company diversified and began selling lawn and garden equipment and they gave excellent service for these products.
In 1961, Blazey's began selling the Cub Cadet line. Recently, after 56 years of selling and servicing Cub Cadet, the dealership asked the company to remove their line from the property. This was due to the fact that Cub Cadet has been giving the line to many other businesses. In fact, within a 25 miles radius, 19 dealers sell Cub Cadets. This makes it very difficult for a dealer to maintain sales.
Cub Cadet is an excellent line of lawn and garden products and Blazey's will continue to service them. Blazey's, a third-generation business, is known for their excellent service.
They will continue to sell Kubota tractors and products. According to Jim Blazey, Kubota is a better product which may cost more than Cub Cadet, but the extra cost is worth having a great machine.
A few years ago, Blazey's diversified again and now sell fuel oil, gasoline and propane under the name of Main Energy, Inc.. For the past 83 years, Blazey's has sold and serviced lawn and garden equipment and they look forward to continuing to serve the area.
